Hello there! How I've missed you, Rio Grande Valley & beyond! As a few of you may know, I left to Austin, Texas for a few months. Before then I had paused my writing, I doubted my capabilities as a writer, as a blogger, to make a difference, to be a positive influence, to finish what I started, & I wanted more than a break, I wanted inspiration.
The expansion of our Rio Grande Valley is amazing, but although corporate restaurants & companies breed more jobs, & a better economy, they do not breed independence, confident & capable human beings who respect themselves & their ideas & culture, and at the end of the day, they breed people who sacrifice all of their originality(this is all my opinion of course.) Left & right, I see fellow RGVers, grabbing the reigns & saying, "I know that I can- build a business, build a following, start something different, grow as myself.", but honestly I WANT TO SEE MORE!
So whether you're here, or there, really anywhere, I urge you to look inside yourself, forgive me for ever faltering, & join me in exploration, through the always amazing, & growing local culture of the Rio Grande Valley
