An Unexpected Surprise!

I'll start off with the drinks, because it's honestly what I would say I'm the pickiest with, as I'm not a huge drinker, so everyone already has that against them. (lol) These were in fact delicious! I mean, I'm not a huge fan of orange juice on the regular, but fresh squeezed OJ is a hard to beat. My favorite though, was the strawberry mimosa. (I'm pretty sure I chugged that thing down in about two gulps.) Super balanced, very refreshing, perfect amount of alcohol. Sweet, but not in your face sweet. Much impressed. This place was off to a good start, I have to say, but I wasn't giving in that easy. I needed to try more.
This is their knife and fork Caesar salad. I would rave about it if I could, but it was a regular salad. It was a bit over dressed for my liking, but my boyfriend, Sergio, loved it, so I have to say, If you can make him enjoy a salad, you're doing something right. It's not that I didn't enjoy the flavors, I always appreciate a home made dressing where I find one, I'm just quite particular about my salad to dressing ratio. That's really no reason to dislike a salad, an easy fix for me is just asking for dressing on the side, & that's probably what I will do next time.
The Peruvian shrimp was delicious! The potatoes were well crisped, spiced, the shrimp super tasty, and the sauce perfectly spicy, while savory. We actually enjoyed the sauce so much we ate the entire dish and asked to keep the sauce for the remainder of our dinner. As it wasn't very heavy, this dish is perfect as either an appetizer or as a light dinner. Double thumbs up from both us.
